Iman Lipumba serves as WorldBeing's Director of Resource Mobilization. Iman is a seasoned fundraising and partnerships leader dedicated to advancing locally-led solutions that drive systemic change for children and youth. As the Director of Resource Mobilization and Partnerships at Worldbeing, she leverages her expertise in donor cultivation, strategic communications, and sustainable revenue generation to mobilize resources for high-impact initiatives. Prior to Worldbeing, Iman spent eight years at Ubongo, Africa’s leading edutainment non-profit, where she raised over $50 million from global funders such as the LEGO Foundation, USAID, and Imaginable Futures. Through her leadership, she strengthened Ubongo’s financial sustainability, expanded partnerships with governments and philanthropic institutions, and helped scale its educational content to millions of children across Africa. Passionate about storytelling and human-centered design, she has worked with grassroots organizations, multilateral agencies, and corporate partners to align funding strategies with programmatic priorities. Iman holds a Bachelor’s degree from Williams College, is fluent in English and Swahili, and is committed to building sustainable funding models that empower communities and create lasting change.
